• Question: Why is the Andromeda Galaxy being pulled towards us if the universe is expanding?

      It isn’t really being pulled towards us, we are too far for gravity to be strong enough that far away. All of the galaxies are moving in all different directions, it just happens that even though the universe is expanding, the Andromeda galaxy is moving in a direction which brings it towards us faster than the expansion of the universe.
