      Luckily with volcano based research we don’t have to make difficult decisions like these. My own position on animal testing is that while we should do everything possible to reduce it, I can see that while we are unwilling to test on people, we have no option. Great medical breakthroughs are only possible with lots of testing to make sure we understand what we are doing.

      I think Kate has given a great answer here. I’m very much the same, my work doesn’t require any medical testing. Even the teeth that we work on have been dug up from centuries ago. I do however, think that it is necessary at times to work on medical breakthroughs that we know little about.
