• Question: what is the hottest anything has ever got on the earths surface

      The hottest thing on the earths surface would technically be the protons in the LHC which I think would be about 6 x10^16C, or sixty thousand million million degrees. At these energies the word temperature doesn’t make so much sense though

      lava can be about 1200C, but that doesn’t really come close to the LHC!
