Question: How would learning more about Neutrinos impact the public?

For people like us, I am not exactly sure, maybe your children or grand children!
There are some funny ideas with the neutrinos… For example people are talking about communication with neutrino. The advantages would be that you can send directly the neutrinos through the Earth, instead of sending the signal to the satellites… So it would be faster communication.
Less crazily, we could use the neutrinos to detect factories of nuclear weapons or nuclear reactors… And detect if some countries are not developing nuclear technology.
The (very crazy) step after that would be to annihilate the atomic weapons with an intense neutrino beam focused in the factory of the weapon. People do think of this kind of things but to be honest it is not sure that we will see any of these.
And maybe we will find some more interesting things to do with neutrinos!
