Yes, and I still do! Although I had holiday jobs, my parents helped support me through university when I really needed them to, and then have been nothing but supportive of my decisions on what to do next.

      Hello
I think I did. The studies to become scientist are quite long and I was happy to be have this support. Also, I think my friends were not so surprised when I told them I wanted to do what I do. Now they are asking me about big bang and particle physics.
But to be honest now I don’t see my family and French friends so often as they are in France! In fact there is a lot of expatriation in research, people often go to US, or wherever their experiment/things of interest is, and sometimes it is not in the most lively places… That’s ok we are here to do science anyway!

Definately! My family helped me out a great deal through my studies and still now that I am in employment. The most help I get is with childcare. I always worked through my studies so I didn’t really need any financial help.
