I was never very good at Biology, so it’s not something I have ever thought of. I do think that the recent events in west Africa have highlighted that we will need some form of stronger global treatment development system that will allow poor countries to get access to cutting edge treatments. For a virus that was airborne we would need to move faster than we have been able to for the Ebola outbreak.

Unfortunately being a scientist doesn’t make you good at all of science. I was actually reading about a new possible cure for ebola the other day and I didn’t understand quite alot of the words (never mind what they meant by them). I think I will have to leave ebola to other scientists, it is too complicated for me!

Biology is far out of my field of science that I couldn’t possibly work on something like this. I think when a global crisis happens we all wish we could work towards solving the problem but unfortunately science becomes very specialised as you move up through the levels.
