      Hi.
      The world could get as cold as the universe if there was no sun and if we waited enough so that the nuclear reactions in the centre of the Earth stops. So 2.3K which is roughly -270°C.

      However, the coldest place on earth is a ridge in Antarctica on the East Antarctic Plateau where temperatures can drop below minus 133.6 degrees Fahrenheit (minus 92 degrees Celsius) in winter.

      Very cold! As Pierre said, theoretically as cold as the universe ~270C
