Question: How can we make recycling easier?

Where I lived last there were three bins, one for food waste, one for non recycling and one for ALL recycling. It certainly made my life easier. People generally foget to do things, or chose not to do things when they are complicated or take a lot of time. Maybe having everything collected together and sorted at the waste processing stations is the way forwards.

I susepect that eventually (a long time in the future), the need for resources will be so high that we will end up “mining” old rubbish dumps for some rare metals that will eventually become har to find. I also wonder what future “geologists” in hundres of thousands of years time will make of the layers of concrete and plastic and rubbish once it has turned into rock….
